The Podcast adds so very much to one’s understanding and appreciation of this wonderfully atmospheric work, deeply atavistic, comprehensive, and vital through all our centuries with the instrument. A timeless piece, with a touch of whimsy and fantasy, threading peace and compassion, “achingly lovely and exquisitely profound.” A true blend of science and art!
I can imagine a Renaissance Fair happening with these pieces playing in the background. The third one made me think of Simon and Garfunkel’s “Are You Going to Scarborough Fair.” Yery nice. I like especially the melodies of this semi-classical music.
